Photographer Rick Harrison grew up in the Rocky Mountains from New Mexico to Alberta. His fascination with art and the western way of life started early and fuels his photographic creations. He earned his Associate in Applied Science in Photography in 1978 in Colorado and moved to Montana in 1981. Rick has been photographing Montana's people & scenes ever since. He loves the Montana outdoors with it's landscapes from prairies to rugged mountains.
In addition to Western Horseman (magazine & calender), Rick has been published in Quarter Horse Journal, Simms Fishing catalog, Patagonia catalog and numerous other calenders and catalogs. He started his photography studio in 1988 in Bozeman producing portraits and commercial photography.
Rick and his wife moved to Dillon in 2006 to "get back to Montana". He started Rikshots Photography in Dillon concentrating on his passion for the photographic art. Limited editions are now available of these creative digital/film images.
